Cadillac recently made a splash at the Detroit Auto Show, also called the North American International Auto Show. In particular, the brand showcased the Cadillac Escala. Though not the premiere of the vehicle, Cadillac was able to release some important information about the modern-looking car. Don’t just take our word for it—this car is truly stunning.
According to Bloomberg, the new Cadillac Escala concept is a sleek, four-door sedan with a range of premium features. This includes LED lighting, an aluminum grille, 22-inch rims with special designs, and a truly distinct front fascia. It also has a smooth body line that signals motion and speed—perfect for this model.
New Technologies To Come
President Johan De Nysschen said that the Escala is “the direction we are thinking about for technologies, automation, connectivity, interior design, [and] craftsmanship.” Under the hood of this concept is a twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine.
Cadillac also showcased some other models, including the CT6 Plug-In. This new sedan has a hybrid powertrain that has up to 30 miles of pure-electric range, over 400 miles of hybrid range, and up to 335 horsepower. It truly is the future of powertrain design. Presented alongside the new Cadillac Escala, the CT6 Plug-In signals to visitors that Cadillac is aiming to set new standards in the following years.
Every year, the editors at WardsAuto take a close look at any all-new or significantly updated car interiors and choose the 10 best. For 2016, the 2017 Cadillac XT5’s interior was good enough to earn a spot on the coveted Ward’s 10 Best Interiors list.
Editors were impressed with the XT5’s use of advanced technology, authentic materials, excellent use of space, and expert craftsmanship. To see the full effect of the XT5’s design, take a look at the Platinum Edition.
WardsAuto spent two months evaluating 47 contenders based on their aesthetics, design harmony, ergonomics, safety, comfort, value, materials, fit-and-finish, and user-friendliness of the built-in technology.
The XT5 is the newest addition to the Cadillac family. Drivers will love its technology including the award-winning Rear Camera Mirror that shows a live view of everything right behind you and is built directly into the rearview mirror. You can switch between a mirror and camera-view with a simple touch of a button.
The all-new 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be coming to Linus Cadillac Buick GMC in just a few months. If you’ve been searching for a luxury crossover with excellent style and features, be sure to take a look at the upcoming XT5.
If its high-performance V-series models weren’t attractive enough already, Cadillac has unveiled a new Crystal White Frost Edition to make them so distinctive and appealing that we imagine they’ll have the same head-turning effect as the Woman in the Red Dress in the original Matrix movie.
The new Crystal White Frost Edition models feature unique matte-finish white paint and special wheels. They’ll be available on the CTS-V sedan, ATS-V sedan, and ATS-V coupe, which will come standard with the Carbon Fiber and Luxury packages. Also available will be extra performance and luxury options like Recaro bucket seats and microfiber-trimmed control surfaces.
The catch? It’s unlikely we’ll ever even see one at Linus Buick Cadillac GMC. Cadillac will only produce 99 examples of these stunning vehicles: 29 CTS-V sedans, 31 ATS-V sedans, and 3 ATS-V coupes. Needless to say, they’ll be in short supply, and we expect demand to be quite high.
