2017 GMC Canyon Updates Help Pickup Get New Award

2017 GMC Canyon updatesGMC only just recently announced the 2017 GMC Canyon updates, and this announcement is followed by something even better. Cars.com recently named the 2017 Canyon the Best Mid-Size Pickup of 2016. With the Cars.com award under its belt, GMC is going for even better ratings in 2017 with a broader lineup and more options.

The Canyon is the only premium mid-size truck in its segment and was also the top pick of Cars.com editors in a 2015 comparison of mid-size pickups. The 2016 Canyon was noted for its excellent towing and payload capabilities, a well-appointed interior, and balanced performance on the road and off.

Later that week, GMC announced that the 2017 Canyon will have a more diverse lineup, adding a new Denali trim, a new All Terrain model called the All Terrain X, and a new propulsion system, among others. The Canyon is consistent with GMC’s other Denali models, including its chrome exterior trim, a V6 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and unique interior content.

The All Terrain X package adds Goodyear DuraTrac all-terrain tires, all-weather floor liners, and more. The new propulsion system is available on all Canyon models. The new Canyon also has upgrades to its technology and amenities, including new IntelliLink radio with touchscreen, standard Teen Driving Mode, and a heated steering wheel. These are just a few of the updates to the new Canyon.
